Amanda is a Racing Victoria Acknowledged Re-Trainer and Equestrian Victoria Off The Track Re-Trainer Of The Year Finalist 2019 and 2020. We are a self funded OTT re-programming / re-homing establishment who take pride in producing quality mounts suitable for a variety of disciplines.

Amanda has over 30 years of experience training and competing horses, she began riding at the age of 4 on a 16hh retired thoroughbred.

Amanda competed over the years in a number of disciplines and it wasn't long before she fell into the racing industry as a strapper, groom, track rider, pre-trainer, assistant breaker. It was at this time while working in the racing stables Amanda founded her rehoming and retraining facility in Garfield North, Forest View Thoroughbreds.

 

We have a small but dedicated team of experienced horse people who can assist you with the re-training or placement of one of our off the track horses.

Each horse comes directly from the horse trainer or horse owner who can reliably supply us with background information from every horse we receive. Once in our care, we will determine an appropriate spelling period and feeding regime, allowing the horse to fully let down before we begin our re-programming.

Nestled in tranquil Garfield North, Victoria, only 2 kms from the Tonimbuk Equestrian Center, 5km from Mt. Cannibal Pony Club, fantastic bush riding throughout the Bunyip State Forest with beautiful, peaceful and scenic road riding right out the front gate.
